Riki Fukuda improved his MMA record to 13-4 lastnight with a wiin over Ryuta Sakurai in Deep 40 Impact at Kōrakuen Hall in Tokyo.
The Grabaka fighter Fukuda completely man-handled Sakurai by quickly taking him down with a single leg, getting back position and throwing a flurry of uppercut punches from behind. The fight ended 45 seconds into the first round by TKO.
Fukoda impressed me with his combination of wrestling skills and punching power. Once he gained position the match was finished. I’m sure we’ll be hearing his name more in the MMA world both in Japan and internationally. Keep your eyes open for this guy!
