We visited Yuzuri Hara some years ago to interview the residents about their daily lives. Apparently the population in Yuzuri Hara lives much longer than any place in Japan.
We were told that the water in Yuzuri Hara is fresh and free from pollution. They don’t use pesticides on their crops. Researchers claim that the reason why this society lives so long and healthy is because of an ingredient in their food called hyaluronic acid. Many companies have tried to exploit this chemical by producing it in the form of pills, cream and other edible products.
I believe that the food that they eat is not the only reason why these people are so healthy. I’m sure it has something to do with their behavior as well.
But is their behavior different from everyone elses, as a group?
Because Yuzuri Hara is in the mountains and in a place that is considered to be a ‘fountain of youth’ type of location I believe the people are conscious about their health and spirit - more so than the average Japanese person.
Yuzuri Hara……… I could not find this place on the map of Japan…. Could you tell me if this place really exisit or it is just a myth or a story created by someone who wants to sell some product.
